1993年生於嘉義，現居住於高雄。藝術工作者，也是陶藝品牌已知用火的經營者，工作室位於高雄鹽埕區，從事繪畫及陶瓷創作，作品涉及生活陶工藝、繪畫、雕塑、裝置等。 用緩慢如泥的速度，紀錄各種生活遇到的片段與殘骸。 近期因為愛上登山活動，喜歡從山中找尋靈感及思考一些土地、島嶼的問題。 他曾於2024年駐村於屏東「斜坡上的藝術村」，並於2017年前往中國蘇州的甪直古鎮進行駐村創作。亦獲得多項藝術獎助肯定，包括2019年「第十三屆龍顏藝術創作獎」，以及2012年「玉山20畫家畫玉山」學生組首獎。 近期展覽包括：「波啵波啵 fermenting」個展，正白#ffffff，高雄（2024）、「啟程。沿途」個展，十方藝術空間，台北（2024）、「日常與我們的小時代」聯展，耳畫廊，台北（2024）、「cemikel 回返：kacalisian藝術駐村聯展」聯展，斜坡上的藝術村，屏東（2024）、「如果可以回去 那就把 ____ 帶回來」聯展，曬書店，台南（2024）、「彼多的目光—物件修補創作計畫」聯展，新浜碼頭藝術空間，高雄（2024）、「芔淼众焱磊 Initial Atmosphere－陳慶銘個展」，靜慮藝術，台北（2023）、「水土不服 Unruly Clay 2.0」聯展，伊日後樂園 BACK_Y，台北（2023）、「我們在此相遇」聯展，嘉義美術館，嘉義（2023）。 |
Taiwanese artist Chen Ching-Ming, also the founder of the ceramic brand 『已知用火』(phrase meaning: known the fire is to be used). Based in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, his studio focuses on both painting and ceramic art. His creative practice spans functional ceramics, painting, sculpture, and installation. Working at a pace as slow and grounded as clay, he records fragments and remnants of everyday life. In recent years, he has developed a deep passion for mountain hiking, often seeking inspiration from the mountains while reflecting on questions of terra and island identity. In 2024, he completed an artist residency at “Kacalisian art village” in Pingtung. Also in 2017, he undertook a residency in Luzhi Ancient Town, Suzhou, China. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Long Yen Foundation: The 13th Art Scholarship (2019) and First Prize in the Student Category of “E.SUN Awards” (2012).
