AKI INOMATA 於 2008 年畢業於東京藝術大學,獲跨媒體藝術碩士學位。 他的創作聚焦於「製作」這一並非人類獨有的行為,並將與生物協作的過程轉化為藝術作品。 透過作品,她呈現人類與生物互動所產生的成果,探討人類與其他生命體之間錯綜複雜的關係。 近期展覽包括:「Bangkok Art Biennale 2024」,曼谷藝術文化中心,曼谷,泰國(2024)、「Roppongi Crossing 2022」森美術館,東京,日本(2022)、「Aichi Triennale 2022」岡家住宅,日本(2022)、「Broken Nature」現代藝術博物館,紐約,美國(2020)、「The XXII Triennale di Milano」米蘭三年展博物館,米蘭,義大利(2019)、「Thailand Biennale Krabi 2018」喀比市,泰國(2018)、「AKI INOMATA, Why Not Hand Over ‘Shelter’ to Hermit Crabs?」南特美術館,南特,法國(2018)。 2017 年,她獲亞洲文化協會個人獎助金赴紐約駐村。 |
AKI INOMATA graduated with an MFA in Inter-media Art from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008. Focusing on how the act of “making” is not exclusive to mankind, AKI INOMATA develops the process of collaboration with living creatures into artworks. She presents what is born out of her interactions with living creatures as well as the relationship between humans and living things. Her recent exhibitions include “Bangkok Art Biennale 2024” (BACC, 2024), “Roppongi Crossing 2022” (Mori Art Museum, 2022), “Aichi Triennale 2022” (House of Oka, 2022), “Broken Nature” (MoMA, 2020), “The XXII Triennale di Milano” (Triennale Design Museum, 2019), “Thailand Biennale Krabi 2018” (Krabi city, 2018), “AKI INOMATA, Why Not Hand Over ‘Shelter’ to Hermit Crabs?” (Musée d’arts de Nantes, 2018). In 2017, she stayed in New York City on an Individual Fellowship Grant from the Asian Cultural Council. |
