LIU CHIEN-WEI 劉 千 瑋
1982年出生於台灣苗栗,畢業於德國國立德勒斯登高等藝術學院造型藝術大師班,目前生活、工作於台北。
劉千瑋的創作關注於物件、文物、藝術品與當代社會秩序之間的歷史敘事、科學應用,以及文化保存等議題。他善以空間裝置重新組譯源自農村生活與當代日常的創作媒材,因應各式展覽場域進行現地製作,探討今日的藝術再現如何透過意義生產,形成新型態的中介方法。進而藉由操作物件在藝術情境下的浮動意義,反思現行的文化價值。 近年重要展覽包含:「懷舊是危險的嗎──還我河山」,國立歷史博物館「想想歷史」公共藝術計畫,台北,台灣 (2024)、「淺山行路人──浪漫台三線藝術季」,新竹,台灣(2023)、「禁山 14 號──劉千瑋個展」,嘉義市立美術館,嘉義,台灣(2022)、「家物事」,有章藝術博物館,台北,台灣(2021)、「全球湧聚──理論上的樂趣」,einBuch.haus,柏林,德國(2020)、「家園 / 變異」,Galerina Steiner,柏林,德國(2018)、「禁山 14 號──開屋文」個展,禁山 14 號遺址現地發表,苗栗,台灣(2018)、「大台北當代藝術雙年展」,國立台灣藝術大學,台北,台灣(2016)、「麻醉」,Tête 藝術空間,柏林(2015)、「我們之間」,Studio Nikibi 當代藝術空間,柏林,德國(2014)、「劉千瑋個展」,Garden Party 當代藝術文化空間,柏林,德國(2013)。 |
Born in 1982 in Taiwan, and graduated Meisterschüler(Master class) at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts in Germany. currently lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan.
Liu Chien-Wei's work focuses on the historical narratives, scientific applications, and cultural preservation of objects, artifacts, and art pieces in relation to contemporary social order. He excels in using spatial installations to reorganize and reinterpret artistic materials sourced from rural life and contemporary everyday life. By creating site-specific works tailored to various exhibition venues, he explores how today's artistic representations facilitate new forms of mediation through the production of meaning. By manipulating the fluid meanings of objects within an artistic context, he further reflects on existing cultural values.
