Due to the nature of the exhibits, we request that visitors follow the below instructions on entering the exhibition space.
Project Fulfill Art Space retains the right to refuse entry to persons who do not follow the exhibition instructions, disrupt the artworks or other visitors.
The exhibition conditions are not suitable for people who have underlying respiratory, cardiovascular or anxiety conditions or people who are pregnant. People who have these conditions please do not enter the exhibition. Exhibition regulations include: No children under the age of 12 allowed, no pets, no food or drink, no photography or video, do not touch any artworks, please watch your step, no running, please watch out for hanging artworks, wear a mask, sanitize your hands with the alcohol solution provided.

就在藝術空間將於9月份呈現畫廊首次生物藝術（Bio art）展覽：「信釋」Y2K雙人組個展。Y2K由兩位出生於千禧年數位危機的新銳藝術家周巧其、胡悠揚所組成。2019年他們以「生物訊號_模控」作品，運用植物的向光性和背地性等特性讓碗豆苗長成預設的圖案，受邀進入有「科技藝術的奧斯卡」之稱的林茲電子藝術節(Ars Electronica Festival)，驚艷全場。
而這次於就在藝術空間，Y2K將帶來4件全新作品：以植物的生命訊號作為源頭，它們擁有感知、代謝並且具有回應刺激的能力，同時透過無機技術交換個別感知得到的環境訊息，如光、溫度、濕度、空氣中氣體比例……等，眾作品以訊號交織出一套中樞系統，並將以共同調控展場內的環境條件作為反饋。 Y2K團隊在2018年時啟動了「Biosignal」實驗系列，旨在採集活體生物的生命訊號，經即時運算串聯起跨物種的共同經驗，擴展人類對於其他物種「知」的理解與重新討論。為詮釋人類所創造的衍伸物/混生演化物繼續發展至具有進行交流、群體決策的猜想，Y2K以賦權作品作為投身於展場的實驗。當訊號得以跨越不同個體與物種遊走，物種間的界線越來越不復存在，展場亦成為個串連個體訊號所構成的半封閉生態系統。而處於非人類主宰的場域中，也被納入訊息來源的觀者，究竟在恢恢天網中做為一個人，或是一絲感覺神經元？ 此展覽將舉辦兩場藝術家座談會，第一場於9月12日下午2點，特別邀請黃建宏（關渡美術館館長）以當代藝術的觀點與藝術家對談，第二場於9月26日下午3點邀請到李家維（國立清華大學生命科學係教授／辜嚴倬雲植物保種基金會執行長）一起分享藝術與生命科學的切入與結合，展覽將於9月12日（週六）開幕。 Project Fulfill Art Space is pleased to present its first BioArt exhibition: Biosignal – a solo exhibition by the artist duo Y2K, consisting of two artists both born on the cusp of the millennium digital crisis, Chou Chiao-Chi and Hu You-Yang. In 2019 they were invited to participate in the Ars Electronica Festival, where they presented their work Biosignal – Cybernation, a 360-degree rotating globe shaped device, using phototropism and the inherent characteristics of plants to control the direction of growth. The pea seedlings used in the installation are rotated through a computer program, manipulating the stems to grow in a preset pattern, revealing a stunning visual display. For the exhibition Biosignal, Y2K will present four new artworks, treating the bio-signals of plants as the source, the artworks are able to perceive, metabolize and react to the environment’s stimuli, while exchanging information (i.e. light, temperature, humidity and atmospheric components) through hybrid artificial channels. The artworks form a hub system of signals that continually sends feedback and regulates the environmental conditions in the exhibition space. Launched by Y2K in 2018, the Biosignal experimental series aims to collect the bio-signals from living creatures that are usually invisible from our senses and translate them using real-time data processing to expand our trans-species shared experiences and understanding of other organisms, sparking further discussions. Y2K’s artworks are empowered with an experimental nature, extending the idea of hybridized organisms evolving processing abilities, communication and collective decision-making. Once signals transcend the physical confines of individuals and travel across different species, inter-species boundaries will gradually begin to blur. The gallery is shaped into a semi-closed ecosystem consisting of interconnected individual signals. As the audience enters this new environment filled with non-human organisms as foreign stimuli, are we still seen as humans? Or do we become mere sensory neurons in this nature-dominated realm, from which escape is nowhere on the horizon? For this exhibition Project Fulfill Art Space will hold two artist talks, the first is on Saturday 12 September at 2pm with guest speaker Huang Chien Hung, Director of Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei, exploring the themes of the exhibition from a contemporary art perspective. The second will be on Saturday 26 September at 3pm with guest speaker Li Chia-Wei, Professor at National Tsing Hua University and CEO of Dr. Cecilia Koo Botanical Conservation Center, who will share his insight on the integration of art and life science. |
