Project Fulfill Art Space's booth display (L05) expresses the mantra ‘The More the Merrier’, bringing together for the first time eleven uniquely talented artists on the international art stage. New works from well-recognized Taiwanese painters Chen Chien-Jung, Wu Tung-Lung, Hsieh Mu-Chi, Hsu Yinling and Sean Wang, as well as Hong Kong artist Chihoi, and new generation artists Hsu Ting and Peng Yu-Tzu working in photography and painting respectively. Known for our flare in working with unconventional artworks, it would not be the same without showcasing artists based in sound and installation art – Chiu Chao-Tsai from Taiwan, and Japanese artist Yuko Mohri, both bringing their latest sound and kinetic sculptures.

Project Fulfill Art Space continues to push the boundaries of each creative experience we bring to audiences. For the curatorial theme ‘The Exceptional’, we bring Taiwanese artist Chen Jun-Yu’s performance _USED TO, using his body as a site for collision and encounter with the environment and society. His work consists of physically demanding positions and ritual-like movements, as the artist sits on top of a pedestal made out of paper, and cuts his body’s outline layer by layer. What is left behind is a mesmerizing contour of his body and movement, like witnessing the artist’s mental and physical meditation slowly growing into existence. As we observe the accumulation of his exhaustion, the layers of sliced paper fall away revealing the rawness of a newly emerged sculptural figure, like a body spliced through time, beautifully narrating the topography of the artist’s presence. |
